Mission Continues Veterans Make a Difference

Posted

It is a commitment that takes courage, bravery, heart, and trust. Making the choice to serve our country could be considered one of the most selfless choices a person could make. The thousands of men and women serving in the armed forces are not only committed to the fight for America’s freedom, but are also committed to the value of service in the communities they live in. If you know or have ever known a veteran or active service member you know the passion and heart that I speak of.

Habitat for Humanity of Osceola County has been thoroughly blessed by several of these individuals through a program called The Mission Continues. The mission and philosophy of this organization is to provide opportunity for leadership in community service for post 9/11 wounded veterans who have returned from duty.

The upstanding men who have come to work with Habitat for Humanity have done everything from work in our warehouse, to design our Christmas Parade float, to renovation work on foreclosed properties. We would like to thank them not only for their service to our country, but for their dedication and continued service to the Osceola County communities and enthusiasm to get the job done.

We couldn’t do it without you!
